6. Preparing the flash for use
6 .1 Fix flash to light stand
Select a light stand or support system of suitable weight and dimensions to ensure stable ope-
ration of the unit. Rotate knob clockwise to lock flash unit firmly to support system.

6.2 Release protective cap

To remove the protective cap, push the reflector release knob back towards the rear of the unit
and rotate protective cap anticlockwise (fig. 1). Put the protective cap aside.
CAUTION
To avoid deformation of the plastic protective cap, always cool down the flash unit before
fitting the protective cap.
6.3 Install standard reflector
Install the standard reflector where the protective cap was before. Align the three pegs on the reflec-
tor with the three slots, press the reflector in, and rotate clockwise until it locks in place (fig. 2 & 3).

CAUTION
Always switch off the unit before fitting and changing reflectors.
6.4 Adjust flash light angle
Rotate the regulating screw anticlockwise and adjust the unit to the appropriate angle. Rotate
the regulating knob clockwise to secure the flash.

6.5 Installing and removing the battery

Push battery forward until you hear a clicking sound (4)
CAUTION
Switch off power before removing the battery. Press down the lock button and pull it back-
ward (5).

6.6 Switch on flash light
Press the power switch to turn on the flash light.
When the flash is not operated, the LCD screen is in standby state.
