Mounting the throttle/brake servos
-
Place the servo shaft with the help of the remote control transmitter in
the neutral position
-
Place the servo from the top in the rear section of the mounting plate
of the servo and screw it with the plastic counter-parts from the servo
fastening set
-
Servo shaft upward and forward!
Now reassemble the RC mounting plate.
Check the idle position of the carburetor and, if necessary, re-adjust.
A visual check of the carburetor outlet is possible via the air intake opening
before attaching the air filter.
-
If necessary, reset the idle position (approx. 1 mm open carburetor
outlet), by re-adjusting the idle speed adjusting screw (= choke limit
stop screw).
The idle speed adjusting screw is the small screw underneath the air
intake opening.
Mounting the steering linkage
-
Screw the ball-shaped head of the thread of the steering linkage
-
Screw in slightly the headless screws (1.5 mm) in the adjusting rings
-
Slide adjusting ring, suspension and throttle metering rod onto the
throttle linkage.
-
Place the throttle linkage on the ball at the slide carburetor.
-
Screw loosely the throttle metering rod on the rear servo lever and
-
Insert the rear adjusting ring lightly on the throttle metering rod and
fix it.
-
Link brake linkage by the cropped end in the left servo steering lever;
slide the adjusting ring (distance approx. 36.7 mm) and guide through
the second brake linkage, then attach the third adjusting ring.
-
Position the servo lever on the servo shaft and screw it so that the
brake linkage runs roughly parallel to the longitudinal axle of the
vehicle.
-
Place both rear adjusting rings loosely on the brake levers and attach
them.
Cut the front servo steering lever as otherwise it might get into con-
tact with the brake linkage when the vehicle runs at full throttle.
The throttle/brake linkage should have the following impact:
-
Full throttle:
Carburetor slide fully opened, brake has no impact
-
Idle speed:
Carburetor slide fully in, adjusting rings are loose on the brake levers.
-
Brake:
Carburetor slide fully in, throttle linkage presses against spring resistance,
brake lever fully deflected
