Safety instructions
DANGER! Determination and assessment of hazards in accordance with the
German Health and Safety at Work Act
● According to the German Health and Safety at Work Act, the employer must assess what haz
ards are present for those occupied in the work and what health and safety measures are neces
sary. Observe the information from the employers' liability insurance association for commercial
kitchens!
● The employer must specify and provide the personal protective equipment.
● The appliance must only be operated in a room sufficiently ventilated.
● Existing units for the supply of combustion air and exhaust gas extraction should not be altered,
e.g.:
− reduction of set-up area,
− subsequent sealing of windows and doors,
− closing or removing of openings for combustion air supply.
DANGER! Risk of fire, fire fighting
● If there is a smell of gas, do not ignite! Shut off the gas tap on site! Open the window! Inform the
standby service of the gas supplier!
● Approved fire extinguishers for cooking oil and fat fires must be available for fighting fires.
WARNING! Risk of injury
● Caution! The appliance is hot during use.
● Scalding hazard! Whilst preparing food in buoyant edible fat or oil, never pour water into it.
CAUTION! Risk of damage
● Do not place hot cookware on stainless steel table tops or stainless steel work surfaces, other
wise there may be a danger of the stainless steel table tops and stainless steel work surfaces
warping with lasting damage.
● Do not spray or clean the appliance with water hoses, high pressure cleaners, high pressure
steam cleaners or steam cleaners!
● Do not spray foam cleaner on front panels and appliance panels. The foam cleaner ingresses into
the smallest cracks and destroys the components of the appliance.
● If you cannot rectify malfunctions using page 33, chapter 7. "Troubleshooting", switch off the
appliance and notify customer services.
● If the appliance has not been used for some time, have Customer Service check its functional
capabilities.
