Energy Saving Mode
If the vehicle does not move for five minutes, the display unit switches to the current savings mode. The display is
deactivated and no sensor data are received anymore.
Once a button is pushed for the vehicle moves again, the display comes on again.
Display Illumination
At a low ambience brightness, the display lighting switches on automatically. However, this only happens in regular
operation. In power savings mode, the display lighting remains off.
Charging the display unit
The display unit has an integrated rechargeable battery that is charged as soon as the power supply via the cigarette
lighter is present. Charging a discharged battery takes abut 2.5 hours. The rechargeable battery permits operation
without power supply for about 28 hours.
If the battery icon for the display unit (8) in the display shows an empty battery, the rechargeable battery has to be
recharged.

e) Re-Encoding of Sensors

The enclosed sensors were already encoded for the corresponding tyre position in the factory (also see „Assembly
of the sensors").
If a sensor is replaced or the position of a sensor is changed, the corresponding sensor must be encoded for the new
tyre position.
• Continue to keep the UP button (4) pushed until a beep sounds and the tyre position in the display flashes. The tyre
position and the current code are displayed additionally.
Example: LF = left front
• Keep the button DOWN / ON/OFF (2) pushed until the tyre position to be encoded is displayed.
• Install the sensor to be encoded onto the valve. The sensor automatically recognised the air pressure increase and
sends its code to the display unit. The new code is displayed.
• Proceed as described above with all remaining sensors to be encoded.
• Continue to keep the SET button (3) pushed until a beep sounds to save the new encoding.
To cancel encoding without saving new codes, push the buttons DOWN / ON/OFF (2) and UP (4) at the
same time.
