► Pull the control bar (1) all the way up to the
handlebar (2) and hold it so that your thumb is
wrapped around the handlebar.
The lawn mower starts moving.
11.3.2 Disengaging Self-propulsion
► Release the control bar for self-propulsion.
► Wait until the lawn mower comes to a stand‐
still.
11.4 Blade brake clutch
11.4.1 Engaging the blade
The lawn mower is equipped with a blade brake
clutch. After releasing the control bar for mowing,
the blade comes to a stop within 3 seconds;
however, the engine continues to run. As a
result, the user can continue to use the self-pro‐
pulsion or empty the grass catcher box without
having to restart the engine afterward.
To engage the blade:
► Pull the control bar (1) towards the handle‐
bar (2) and pull the lever (3) upward.

11.4.2 Disengaging the blade clutch
► Release the control bar (1).
The blade is then disengaged and comes to a
standstill within 3 seconds. The engine continues
to run.
11.5 Mowing and mulching
The lawn mower is equipped with a multi-blade
and can be used for mowing and mulching.
► For mowing, remove the pre-installed mulch‐
ing insert, 6.2.1.
► When working with self-propulsion engaged:
Drive the lawn mower forward in a controlled
manner.
► When working with self-propulsion disen‐
gaged: Push the lawn mower forward slowly
and in a controlled manner.
