Brief description
The hydraulic lifting kits H 1 and H 2 according to DIN14800 contain single-acting hydraulic
cylinders which are operated with a hand pump. Before commissioning, remove the dust caps
from the couplings and, with the drain handwheel open (turn anticlockwise) on the hand pump,
connect the pump to the implements. Release the lock on the pump handle.
The pump is equipped with 2 pump pistons for high and low pressure. The maximum operating
pressure is 700bar. Built-in safety overload valves protect against overload.

Oil requirement of the individual units
The DPH 4018 hand pump has a usable oil volume of
1 hydraulic cylinder ERGS 50 - 50 required for the stroke of 50 mm.
1 hydraulic cylinder ERGS 50 - 150 required for the stroke of 150 mm
1 m maximum pressure hose NW 6 holds:
Oil requirement of the entire system:
4.5
Pressure generation or oil supply for extending the hydraulic
cylinders
First open the drainage handwheel by turning it anticlockwise, then move the pump handle
up and down empty a few times (use the full handle travel). The pump is thereby vented. If
necessary, proceed as described under "4.12 Bleeding the hydraulic system".
Now close the drainage handwheel by turning it clockwise and continue pumping. Keep the
pump horizontal, or tilted towards the hose side, during operation.
4.6
Note on initial commissioning
Please note that approx. 15 pump strokes are required to fill 1 m of maximum pressure hose.
Depending on the length of hose you have connected, you will need a corresponding additional
number of pump strokes. Only then do the piston rods of the cylinders extend.
4.7
Pressure release or oil return for retracting the hydraulic cylinders
Open the drainage handwheel by slowly turning it to the left. If present, remember to open the
corresponding handwheel on the distributor valve (ID 364380) at the same time.

Distributor valve (2-fold adjustable)
Control example for oil feed:
If both handwheels are opened, each cylinder receives part of the oil flow from the pump
depending on the load. When the left handwheel is opened, the piston rod of the left hydraulic
cylinder extends. When the right handwheel is opened, the piston rod of the right hydraulic
cylinder extends.
Control example for oil return:
If both handwheels are open, there is free oil return to the pump or communicating pressure
equalisation between the hydraulic cylinders. Each of the hydraulic cylinders can be drained
individually. Always open the drainage handwheel of the pump.
4.9
Hydraulic cylinders type ERGS 50-50 and ERGS 50-150, 137kN lifting
force
These single-acting cylinders have a built-in return spring. There are threads on the piston rod
side for attaching the accessories. The thread must always be protected from damage by the
protective cap or another accessory. Always screw the accessories fully onto all threads.
Position the hydraulic cylinder so that the pressure point acts on the centre of the piston rod or
the screwed-on accessory. The hydraulic cylinders can be used in any position.
When using 2 hydraulic cylinders type ERGS 50 at the same time, a lifting force of 2 x 137kN =
274kN is achieved. However, this requires twice the lifting time.
4.10
Maximum pressure hoses incl. plug-in couplings with quick stop
The hose assemblies must not be subjected to tensile forces, e.g. by stretching them between
2 fixed points. Avoid sharp bends or spiral twists. Under no circumstances should the hoses be
kinked, to prevent any flow resistance being created or pressure building up. Also, when storing
the units with connected hoses, ensure that they are stored in an unconstrained manner.
The coupling halves are easy and quick to put together and separate. Only a few drops of
hydraulic oil are lost during separation. Connecting or disconnecting the coupling sleeve with
the coupling plug is only possible with unpressurised maximum pressure hoses. If necessary,
open the drainage handwheel of the hand pump. Immediately after separating the coupling
parts, put on the dust caps. Please pay attention to cleanliness. Clean the coupling sleeve and
coupling plug carefully after each use. The hydraulic hoses are to be replaced every 10 years at
the latest, in accordance with DGUV principle 305-002. The year of manufacture is stamped on
a hose fitting.
