Maintenance
Careful handling of the unit increases its service life. The „Büffel" should therefore be cleaned
carefully and the piston rod oiled after each use, but at least once a year.
3.11
Oil check and oil filling
Push the piston all the way in. Move the ""Büffel"" to the vertical working position "A". Remove
oil level plug. The oil level must reach the lower edge of the oil level plug opening. If there is a
lack of oil, remove the oil filler plug and fill oil into this opening up to the level of the oil level
plug. Screw the oil filler plug and oil level plug back in tightly. If the hoist is used frequently, the
oil should be renewed annually. It is essential to ensure scrupulous cleanliness so that no dirt
enters the appliance.
3.12
Hydraulic oil / operating medium
The "Büffel" is designed and tested for WEBER hydraulic oil, part no. 1057565F. This oil has a
particularly high degree of purity and also works without problems in temperatures as low as
-20° C. For more information and alternative hydraulic oils, see Chapter 8.
