RV 2 mounting sleeves can be universally
shortened, masonry min. 365 to max. 500 mm.
RV 2 VH: Pre-installation kit for horizontal
parapet wall
• 1x "parapet" mounting sleeve, length: 500 mm,
with red plaster primer
• 1x external plaster frame (glued to mounting
sleeve)
• 1x internal plaster frame, enclosed loose
• 1x external plaster protective cover, pre-as-
sembled in the external plaster frame
• 1x internal plaster protective cover, pre-as-
sembled in the internal plaster frame
• 4x screw for internal plaster frame on mounting
sleeve in zipper storage bag fixed with adhesive
strip
RV 2 VV: Pre-installation kit for vertical,
straight soffit
• 1x "straight soffit" mounting sleeve, length 500
mm, with red plaster primer
• 1x external plaster frame (glued to mounting
sleeve)

7 Intended use

RV 2 ventilation units with heat recovery are used
for controlled ventilation and air extraction of indi-
vidual rooms with ventilation capacities of up to
42 m³/h.
The ventilation units are suitable for flats, single
and multiple-family dwellings, offices or compar-
able rooms, both for new builds and renovation
work.
Operation is permitted:
• in exterior walls with a minimum wall thickness
of 365 mm and a maximum wall thickness of
500 mm (unfinished dimension without plaster).
• in supply air rooms.
• exactly horizontal with spirit level and aligned
to the exterior wall, horizontal installation posi-
tion (parapet variant) or vertical installation pos-
ition (soffit variants). Alignment to the interior
wall is not permitted.
• with permanent electrical installation.
• with RLS 45 K comfort control for operating a
maximum of 8 RV 2 units.
• with at least 1 pair of devices. Operation in
pairs is recommended. A single RV 2 unit can
also be combined with an exhaust air fan in the
bathroom/WC. Exhaust air fans with up to 60
m³/h (ER 60 or ECA 100 ipro) are permitted.
• for the parapet variants with correctly installed
window sill plate to prevent water and façade
damage.
• with a window sill design in accordance with the
recognised rules of technology, at least 40 mm
projection with finished plastered façade.
