12 Mounting and operating the camera

The camera has a variety of potential applications. It can be used, for example, to monitor wildlife, buildings or
locations.
This camera is primarily intended to monitor wildlife from a tree or similar.
To mount the camera on a tree and put it into operation, proceed as described below.

12.1 Mounting and orienting the camera

First of all, find a suitable spot where you can mount
the camera. Use the live image (set the slide switch to
"TEST") to monitor the recording area. You can also use
the app to watch the live image on your smartphone.
Set your camera up facing north or south and NOT east

or west to avoid false triggering and overexposed images
due to sun glare.
The height for mounting depends on the size of the target

you wish to record or capture. We recommend mounting
the camera 0.5 to 2 metres above the ground. The cam-
era should face slightly downwards.
There should be no disturbing movements or temperature

fluctuations in the camera's field of view to avoid false
triggering. These can be leaves, curtains, air condition-
ing, chimney vents and other heat sources.
