10.3 Charging the lithium-ion battery

Before using the camera for the first time or if it is to be used for an extended period, make sure you fully charge
the lithium-ion battery with the power adapter.
The device can be charged via the USB-C
accessible even when the housing is closed.
10.3.1 Charging the lithium-ion battery via the USB-C
Connect the USB-C
Connect the USB-A plug to the USB power adapter (5 V/DC, 2 A).
It takes longer to charge the battery when using a less powerful power adapter. The maximum charging current
is 2 A and is limited by the camera.
Plug the USB power adapter into a properly grounded outlet of the public grid.
The camera should start charging automatically. You do not need to turn the camera on for it to start charging.
The status LED (26) lights up red.
When the LED goes out, the battery is fully charged. When you switch on the camera, you will see the full battery
symbol at the bottom right of the display.
10.3.2 Charging the lithium-ion battery via the low-voltage input (25)
You will require a power adapter with an output voltage of 6 V/DC and at least 1.5 A. The low-voltage plug must
have an outer diameter of 3.5 mm and an inner diameter of 1.35 mm.
If you want to charge the camera with the cover closed, you must first remove the rubber cap on the underside
of the camera.
Connect the low-voltage plug of your power adapter to the low-voltage input (25) of the camera.
Plug the power adapter into a properly grounded outlet of the public grid.
The camera should start charging automatically. You do not need to turn the camera on for it to start charging.

10.4 Turning on the camera

The camera's on/off slide switch (24) has three positions.
The "TEST" position allows you to configure settings and view photos and videos. This mode can also be used
to take photos and videos manually.
With this mode enabled, the camera switches off automatically after a certain period of inactivity.
The "ON" is intended for live recording. Photos and videos are captured automatically upon motion detection or
continuously (depending on the setting).
Moving the switch to the "OFF" position switches the camera off.
