Removing the battery
1. Press and hold the battery release
(12) on the battery (10).
2. Pull the battery out of the battery
holder.

Switching on and off

Preparation
Prepare the device for the desired
function. Select the appropriate ad-
apter nozzle (19/20/21).
Notes
• The device has a switch lock (7)
that protects it against uninten-
tional operation.
• The device saves the last setting
in which you were working and re-
starts in this setting.
Switching on
1. Press and hold the switch lock (7).
2. Press and hold the on/off switch
(6).
3. Release the switch lock (7).
4. The LED work light (22) lights up,
the device is unlocked.
5. Set the temperature and air
volume (see Controlling the
temperature and air volume,
p. 28)
Switching off
1. Release the on/off switch (6).
2. The LED work light goes out, the
tool is locked.
3. Use the cool down function (see
Cool down function, p. 28).
4. Remove the battery (10) from the
device if you are leaving the device
unattended or if you have finished
working.

Cool down function

• As soon as you release the on/off
switch (6), the cool down function
starts automatically.

• A countdown of 40 seconds be-
gins. The tool switches off auto-
matically when this has finished.
• Pressing the
cels the cool down process and
immediately switches off the tool.
Controlling the temperature
and air volume
• The temperature and air volume
can be controlled via the control
panel (9).
• The selected setting is shown on
the LC display (8).
• The temperature and air volume
can also be set when the appliance
is switched off.
Setting the temperature
The temperature can be set in 10 de-
gree increments using the buttons
(26/29) on the control panel (9).

The air volume can be regulated us-
ing the buttons (27/28) on the control
panel (9) in the range of 150–300 l/
min (6-stage).
