14 Assembly of RV 2 VS (shell)
• Only mount on walls with sufficient load-bearing
capacity.
• Determine the mounting position on the exterior
wall.
• Ensure mounting is on a level wall surface.
• Note dimensions.
• After plastering, the internal cover of the plaster
frame must be flush with the interior wall/soffit
on the inside of the window.
14.2 Sawing the RV 2 VS components
to size and connecting them
1. Cut the mounting sleeve of the pre-installa-
tion kit for renovation work to the desired
finished size using a band saw.
2. Saw the 90° deflection unit for renovation
work to the desired finished size. Observe in-
sulation thickness and exterior plaster/façade
thickness.
3. Pre-installation kit for renovation work and
90° deflection unit for renovation work in
the adapter and stick together tightly all round
with the enclosed adhesive tape.

14.3 Drilling through housing for
connection and control cable
WARNING Danger to health in the event
of mould formation due to building and mois-
ture damage caused by incorrect drilling, e.g.
due to leaks, build-up of condensation and
water escaping into the masonry.
Contamination from incorrectly drilled or leaking
mounting sleeves can damage the fans. Be sure
to seal the mounting sleeve properly.
ATTENTION: If holes are drilled in an unauthor-
ised location, the connection cable cannot be in-
serted correctly. Then, final installation of the
slide-in module is not possible.
The following figure shows an unshortened
mounting sleeve with 4 predetermined breaking
points for the cable feed. If possible, do not use
the large predetermined breaking point on the left
(difficult cable feed through 90° elbow). Use one
of the 3 predetermined breaking points on the
right for the cable feed.
Observe symbols/pictograms on the mounting
sleeve.
ATTENTION when using the front predetermined
breaking point "X". If the hole is too deep, this
causes damage to the condensate drain. Drill this
to a maximum depth of 25 to 30 mm.
1. Drill through the desired predetermined break-
ing point (see arrows) in the mounting sleeve
(Ø 20 mm).
