14 Assembly of RV 2 VS (shell)
14.4 Attaching mounting brackets
1. Bend the mounting brackets to the appropri-
ate size for the "wide" mounting sleeve or
"narrow" 90° deflection unit for renovation
work.
2. Insert the mounting brackets into the installa-
tion unit at the top and bottom to suit the in-
stallation situation. Make sure that they are in-
serted into the recesses with the prongs up to
the stop and lie flat in the groove.
14.5 Screwing the installation unit
together
Condensate is discharged into the external cover
via a condensate drain integrated in the mounting
sleeve where it is drained off via a drip edge. En-
sure that the condensate drain is not soiled during
and after installation and that it is guaranteed at
all times.
• Ensure a clean installation site, remove dirt and
dust:
• Only attach the installation unit to walls with suf-
ficient load-bearing capacity.
• The installation unit must be firmly seated and
must not wobble.
• Do not install the soffit element / installation unit
in combination with 100 mm thick façade insula-
tion.
• Mounting material must be supplied on site.
WARNING Danger to health from mould
formation due to building and moisture dam-
age caused by incorrect installation or non-
compliance with building regulations.
Do not overload or deform the installation
unit! Otherwise the housing may leak. The slide-
in module can no longer be inserted. Attach the
installation unit exactly horizontally.
1. Align the installation unit exactly horizontally
using a spirit level and insert the internal
plaster frame flush with the window soffit.
2. Screw the installation unit firmly to the exterior
wall.
14.6 Attaching empty ducts / laying
cables
1. Lay empty duct(s) for the mains connection
and control cable up to the installation site.
2. Insert the empty duct(s) lightly into the mount-
ing sleeve.
3. Feed the connection cable into the mounting
sleeve by the sufficient length.
4. Seal the empty duct(s)/connection duct with
PU adhesive foam towards the mounting
sleeve. Ensure that the housing of the mount-
ing sleeve is correctly sealed.
