INSTALLATION
CHOOSE A PROPER LOCATION FOR THE CEILING FAN
Choose the perfect spot to place your fan and take all the necessary safety
precautions before beginning the installation.
Once all the precautions are taken, trace your drill holes, using a pencil, through
the bracket by placing it on the ceiling.
WARNING
• Make sure electricity is turned off at the main power box before
starting work. Turn off the power by removing fuse or turning off
circuit breaker before installing the fan and replacing the lamps.
• To ensure a good electrical protection to your fan it is essential to
install a wall switch.
• Make sure that the circuit breaker of the line on which you want to install
your fan is tripped, to avoid damages or danger in case of overvoltage.
• The lowest point on the fan blade must be at least 2.3 m (7.5ft)
from the floor.
• Make sure that ceiling joists are strong enough and of adequate
size to support the weight of the fan in movement.
PREPARE THE INSTALLATION
Before you begin, unpack each piece of the fan and verify them.
Depending on the support of your ceiling, you will need different elements: the
fixation on a wooden beam, is not the same the one on concrete.
For wooden beams and concrete supports, pre-drill your holes and use the
fasteners provided for this.
For drywall, use fixings provided for this type of support (not included), try to
get back on the metal support of the drywall.
In the case of installation on a sloped ceiling, fix the plate in a way, that the pin
that enters the groove of the ball joint can take the angle of the slope.
Place it in the parallel of the slope and not in perpendicular. Do the swing test
with the ball joint and the rod assembled in the support so as not to mislead the
direction of attachment of the plate.
It is on the right positioning that the good function of your ventilator depends:
with or without vibrations, and this in spite of the systems of self-balancing
of your ventilator. Be careful, take your time. Do not forget a single washer or
screw that can unbalance your fan.
