Maintenance Covers

Maintenance cover location.
LATCH
RIGHT MAINTENANCE COVER
• Engine oil level check
• Engine oil change
• Use recoil starter
Be sure the maintenance covers are closed while the generator is
running.
Running the generator with maintenance cover(s) open will adversely
affect the engine performance, and will cause the generator to overheat.
To open:
Turn the latch 90° counterclockwise.
To close:
Turn the latch 90° clockwise to lock while pushing the cover.

• Spark plug inspection/replacement
• Air cleaner inspection/cleaning
Push the cover closed and turn
the latch.
