Installing and connecting computer modules
The
variants of the devices use components with laser technology which
Fiber
comply with laser class 1.
They meet the requirements in accordance to
U.S. CFR 1040.10
and
1040.11
Mind the following instructions when dealing with laser beams:
Avoid direct eye exposure to beam on page 4
Always connect optical connections or cover them with protection caps on page 4
Only use G&D certified transmission modules on page 4
NOTE:
The installation of the computer modules is described in detail in the sepa-
rate manuals of the modules.
Connect the computers to the different computer modules.
Connect the Transmission interfaces of the individual computer modules to one
Dynamic Port of the central module..
NOTE:
After you turn on the computers and computer modules, the matrix switch
detects them and configures the ports automatically.

IMPORTANT:
UC variants of computer modules provide two Trans. interfaces to
connect a computer to two different KVM matrix systems. Connect only one of the
computer module's Trans. interfaces to this matrix switch!
