Mounting

4.1.1 Level measurement applications
The optimal location for Type 2298 (for a cylindrical tank) is at radius r = (0.3...0.5) R. It is always advisable to consider the
radiation cone angle. The liquid surface must be perpendicular to the axis of the device. Under no circumstances place the device
near the inlet opening! Improper placement may lead to malfunctions. In the case of enclosed antenna designs, the possibility of
antenna front surface humidity should be minimized.
It is essential to avoid objects (pipes, ladders, structural
elements, thermometers, etc.) entering the radiation cone.

If necessary, programming can
block up to 4 interfering echoes
in the Type 2298 threshold
settings!
Positioning
The plane of the process connection must be parallel to the
measured surface within ±2...3°.
