Settings
10.1.
SETTING THE MODE

The torque tester has five modes:
Track
Track HCT (only 654410)
1st Peak
Peak Hold
Peak Hold HCT (only 654410)
ü Device is showing the start screen.
1. Right function button (5), enter password if necessary and confirm with OK (8).
2. Select "Mode" and confirm with OK (8).
3. Select the desired test mode using the left/right direction buttons (2, 4) and con-
firm with OK (8).

MANAGING HISTORY

A maximum of 1000 entries can be saved. The oldest entries are overwritten.

1. Press right function button (5), enter password if necessary and confirm with OK
(8).
2. Select "History" and confirm with OK (8).
3. Select entry.

In order to display details, press OK (8).

In order to delete all entries, press and hold the right function button (5) for
three seconds and confirm with OK (8).

MANAGING TEST CASES
10.3.1.
Adding a test case

A maximum of 20 test cases can be saved.
ü Device is showing the start screen.
1. Press right function button (5), enter password if necessary and confirm with OK
(8).
2. Select "Test Case" and confirm with OK (8).
3. Select "Add a test case" and confirm with OK (8).
4. Using the direction buttons, assign a name with a maximum of four characters.
5. Confirm with OK (8).
6. Using the left/right direction buttons (2, 4) select whether the test case should be
password protected, and confirm with OK (8).

With an activated password: Password must be entered in the case of an incor-
rectly executed tightening procedure.
7. Configure settings according to Setting the mode [} Page 15].

Editing a test case

1. Press right function button (5), enter password if necessary and confirm with OK

2. Select "Test Case" and confirm with OK (8).
3. Select test case to be edited and confirm with OK (8).
4. Select "Edit" and confirm with OK (8).

Edit name.

For measuring torques in general without
specifying a target value or evaluation.
For measuring torques in general with
HCT torque wrenches, without specifying
a target value or evaluation.
For mechanical, triggering torque
wrenches. The torque applied during
mechanical triggering is determined.
For digital, displaying torque wrenches.
The highest torque applied within the set
evaluation time (see Measurement
[} Page 16]) is determined.

wrenches. The highest torque applied is
determined.
10.3.3.
Activating a test case

If connected to an HCT torque wrench: Test cases in which the set target value
matches the torque range of the torque wrench are highlighted.

1. Press right function button (5), enter password if necessary and confirm with OK
(8).
2. Select "Test Case" and confirm with OK (8).
3. Select desired test case and confirm with OK (8).
4. Select "Activate" and confirm with OK (8).
5. Execute test procedure in line with test case.

Deleting a test case

MANAGING CONNECTIONS (ONLY 654410)

1. Press right function button (5), enter password if necessary and confirm with OK

2. Select "Settings" and confirm with OK (8).
3. Select "Connection" and confirm with OK (8).
4. Manage connections and confirm with OK (8).
Bluetooth
Bluetooth can be switched on or off.
SEARCH FOR HCT devices
Available HCT-capable torque wrenches are dis-
played.
App ON/OFF
Activate or deactivate the connection to the HCT
app.
Quick Connect ON/OFF
Quick connecting of HCT torque tester and a desired
HCT torque wrench by pressing the send button of
the HCT torque wrench.
Bluetooth Reset
All existing Bluetooth connections are disconnec-
ted.

10.4.1.
Connecting to a smartphone or tablet using Bluetooth
(only 654410)
ü App = ON is set on the torque tester (see Managing connections (only 654410)
[} Page 15])
ü Connection to HCT app is established.
1. Start the HCT app.
2. Search for devices in the app.
»
Nearby Bluetooth devices are displayed.
3. Select the device (HCT-TT...).
»
Torque tester connected to the app.
10.4.2.
Connecting to a computer using a USB cable
1. Connect USB-C plug with socket on torque tester.
2. Connect the USB plug to the USB interface on your computer.
10.5.
MANAGING SETTINGS
ü The device is showing the start screen.
1. Press right function button (5), enter password if necessary and confirm with OK
(8).
2. Select "Settings" and confirm with OK (8).
10.5.1.
Display
C
NOTICE! The date and time are synchronised as long as the torque tester is
connected to the power supply. If the torque tester is disconnected from
the power supply for more than 6 minutes, the date and time must be
checked when it is next switched on and re-entered. The date and time can
be automatically synchronised by connecting to the HCT Mobile app or
HCT Windows app.
1. Select "Display" and confirm with OK (8).
2. The following settings can be configured:
Brightness
Set screen brightness in percent.
Standby
Set inactive time until torque tester switches off. Can be
deactivated.
