13 Operating the Lawn Mower
13.1 Holding and Guiding the Lawn
Mower
► Hold the handlebar with both hands so the
thumbs enclose the handlebar.

Setting the cutting height

4 different cutting heights can be selected:
– 28 mm = Position 1
– 50 mm = Position 2
– 68 mm = Position 3
– 85 mm = Position 4
The cutting height is set separately at the front
and rear. The cutting height setting must be iden‐
tical at the front and rear.
Setting the rear cutting height
► Switch off the lawn mower.
The cutting blade must not be turning.
► Place the lawn mower on a level surface.
► Press the rear axle (1) downward.
The rear axle (1) is now released and can be
adjusted.
► Move the rear axle (1) into the desired position
on the left and right.

Setting the front cutting height
► Press the lever (1) outward, move it to the
desired position and allow it to engage.
13.3 Activating ECO Mode
When ECO mode is activated, the lawn mower
detects the current working conditions and
adjusts the blade speed automatically.
This may extend the battery life.
► Open flap (1) as far as the stop and hold.
► Set ECO switch (2) to the I position.
► Close flap (1).
13.4 Mulching
In the mulching mode, the grass clippings are
recirculated in the airstream, re-cut several times
into small particles and then blown back onto the
lawn. The cuttings remain on the lawn surface
where they decompose quickly and serve as a
natural fertilizer. To ensure a perfect, thick lawn,
mulch regularly and remove 1/3 of the grass
height.
Prerequisites for good mulching results:
– Frequency: At least twice a week in the spring
(main period of growth) and once a week in
the summer and autumn.
– Cutting height: Cut around a third of the grass
height.
– Lawn should be dry when working on it.
– Use well sharpened cutting blades.
– Select a low mowing speed.
– Vary the mowing direction and make sure to
overlap the mowing strips.
– Mow very high grass in stages.
