CORRECTLY AND/OR MAY ALLOW THE HELMET TO COME OFF YOUR HEAD IN AN ACCIDENT RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY OR
DEATH.

DIAGRAM 7
TO UNFASTEN THE D-RING CHINSTRAP FASTENING SYSTEM:
1. Unsnap the snap fastener, on the loose end of the chinstrap, from the snap point. Then loosen the strap through the rings,
pulling it free of the rings. [SEE DIAGRAM 7B]
TO SECURELY FASTEN THE CHINSTRAP USING THE D-RING SYSTEM:
1 Confirm the chinstrap fastening system is released. Separate the two ends of the chinstrap and insert your head in the
helmet, placing the helmet correctly on your head.
2. Bring the loose ends of the chinstrap together under your chin, making sure the straps are not twisted before attempting to
fasten the chin strap.
3. Thread the free end of the chinstrap through both rings [SEE DIAGRAM 7] then over and back in opposite direction through
one ring [SEE DIAGRAM 7].
4. Pull on the free end of the strap to tighten.
DIAGRAM 8
The chinstrap should be snug under your jaw.
[SEE DIAGRAM 8] If you can create slack in the
chinstrap by pulling downward on it, the chinstrap
is not properly fastened or tightened. Repeat steps
2, 3 and 4 until the chinstrap is properly fastened
and tightened.
5. Once the chinstrap is fastened and snug to
your jaw, so that the helmet cannot be pulled off
of your head, secure the snap on the loose end of
the strap to the connecting snap point.
SAFETY WARNING:
THE SNAP FEATURE IS ONLY TO SECURE THE LOOSE END OF THE STRAP TO PREVENT FLAPPING WHILE
RIDING. IT IS NOT PART OF THE HELMET RETENTION SYSTEM, AND SHOULD NOT BE USED INDEPENDENTLY WITHOUT FASTENING
THE CHINSTRAP THROUGH THE D-RINGS AS ILLUSTRATED.
