Further safety instructions for
reciprocating saws
• Keep hands away from the saw-
ing area. Do not reach underneath
the workpiece. Upon contact with
the saw blade there is a risk of in-
jury.
• Only when the power tool is
turned on should the sawing
blade be moved against the
workpiece. Otherwise, there is a
risk of kickback if the attachment
tools jam in the workpiece.
• Make sure that the footplate is
secure during sawing. A tilted
saw blade may break or cause a
kickback.
• After you have finished work,
turn the power tool off and do
not pull the saw blade out of the
cut until it has come to a stand-
still. In this way you will avoid any
kickback and can safely put down
the power tool.
• Use only undamaged saw blades
in perfect condition. Bent or blunt
saw blades can break, adversely
affect the cut or cause kickback.
• Do not brake the saw blade after
switching the device off by ap-
plying side pressure. The saw
blade may be damaged, break or
cause a kickback.

• Switch the appliance off imme-

Force apart the saw cut and pull
the saw blade out carefully. This
can lead to loss of control over the
power tool.
• Use suitable detectors to de-
termine if there are hidden sup-
ply lines or contact the local util-
ity company for assistance. Con-
tact with electric cables can cause
fire and electric shock. Damaging
gas lines can lead to explosion.
Breaking water pipes causes prop-
erty damage.
• Always wait until the power tool
has come to a complete stop be-
fore placing it down. The applica-
tion tool can jam and cause you to
lose control of the power tool.
