Any use not in accordance with the intended purpose is prohibited. A water filter must be installed
upstream of the softener, primarily to protect it from contamination and clogging.
The use of a protective filter downstream of the device is also recommended, as mechanical damage
or material defects could cause the ion exchange resin to be washed out.
The allowable water pressure is 2.0 - 6.0 bar. If the existing water pressure exceeds the limit, a
pressure regulator must be used.
To prevent water damage, an open drain should be available near the installation site. If this is not
available, install a break tank upstream of the drain to prevent backflow of wastewater.
The installation location must be flat, dry, and free from heat sources, with a temperature between
+5 °C and +40 °C. Ensure the device is stable and cannot tip over.
In systems with copper and zinc, very soft water may cause corrosion. For water hardness above 15 °
dH, maintaining a residual hardness of 3–5 °dH is recommended. The Aqmos water softener softens
to 0 °dH by default, but this can easily be adjusted using the blending screw.
Check whether a backflow preventer is required on the water supply according to national
regulations. If in doubt, contact your water supplier.
