Quick-start
Only the following values need to be programmed during
commissioning:
System capacity (Chapter 12), Time (current), Reg. Days (optional)
1. DO NOT OPEN THE WATER SUPPLY YET
2. Ensure that the installer has connected and secured the wastewater hose from the
control valve to the drain. Connect the power supply.
3. Configure the system for operation by setting only the current time and the system
capacity ("REG. CAP"). Verify that the programmed values match those specified in
the operating manual in chapter 12.
4. Start a manual regeneration: Turn the large dial on the control valve clockwise from
the "SERV." position to the "Ba. Wa." position. The display will show Backwashing.
The Backwashing cycle begins when Backwashing appears on the display. At this
point, unplug the power cord.
5. Slowly open the water supply to the softener, allowing the system to fill gradually to
avoid pressure surges. Any air in the system will escape through the wastewater hose.
Let the system rinse in this position until the water runs clear, which typically takes 5–
15 minutes depending on the system type.
During this time, you may add approximately 10 liters of water to the system.
6. Plug the power cord back in and press the " " button to advance the valve to the
next cycle (Brining). If the display blinks, press the " " button again to move to the
next cycle (Fast Rinse). Press the " " button once more to proceed to the next cycle
(Brine Tank Refill). Allow the program to run automatically from the Filling cycle to
completion.
Salt:
After commissioning, you can add 1–3 bags of salt. The brine tank can be filled to the top.
Ensure that the salt level is always above the waterline to allow sufficient brine formation.
During regular operation, refill the salt before it is completely used up. Always keep the salt level
above the water level.
This quick guide is only valid in conjunction with the operating and programming manual.
