Settings can be utilized to turn on and off demo mode, adjust measurement
parameters, perform System Test, and change the save directory.
Cleaning
•
Shut down the AIM System and disconnect the AC Adapter from the AIM System prior to
cleaning.
•
If necessary, wipe with a soft cloth, do not immerse.
•
After operating room use, the AIM System may be cleaned with a wipe pre-moistened with
isopropyl alcohol, e.g., DisCide Ultra Disinfecting Towelettes, Caretouch alcohol prep pads,
or Metrex CaviWipes.
•
Do not use wipes containing bleach.
Maintenance
System Test:
•
Click on Settings -> System Test to access the system test.
•
On an annual basis, use the System Test to verify the following:
o
Frequencies are within 3% of the specified frequency per the following table.

Set up the required system and test hardware for level test.

Connect a AIM Insert Earphone receiver to the AIM System.
»
Remove the power dome from the sound tube and connect the sound tube of the AIM
Insert Earphone receiver to a 2CC coupler in HA-2 configuration.
»
Connect at calibrated SPL meter with a ½" microphone to the 2CC coupler.
»
Note the reading on the SPL meter.
»
Click the Stop button and change the frequency to next available frequency.
»
Repeat as indicated.
»
If the measured frequencies or levels are outside of the ranges specified here, order a
replacement AIM Insert Earphone from Advanced Bionics and, if necessary, a replace-
ment AIM System.
