•
Pulse width is user adjustable on the ESRT page and the corresponding rate is displayed
adjacent to this as information for the user.
•
ESRT can be measured with Electrode Groupings of 16, 4, or 1 contact.
o
Note, when channels are not selected or have invalid impedances these channels will be
omitted from the Electrode Grouping of 16.
o
For Electrode Groupings of 4, 4 contacts will always be stimulated and individual elec-
trodes may be included in more than one Electrode Grouping to enable this.
•
To make a measurement, all electrodes need to be in compliance. This can be managed
by reducing the Pulse Width, decreasing the Pulse Amplitude, or deselecting electrodes
with low compliance levels.
•
The blue horizontal line indicates the selected pulse amplitude. This may be adjusted using
the "-" and "+" buttons, using the drop down value for Pulse Amplitude, or by clicking and
dragging the line indicating the current Pulse Amplitude.
o
The step size for changes in Pulse Amplitude can be modified in the ESRT Settings.
•
Clicking on the view button reveals the compliance limit for each contact and the ability to
select or deselect contacts.
o
Note, invalid contacts will be shown as grayed out and it is not possible to select them.
•
Description of Auto measurements:
o
With auto enabled, clicking "Start" will begin the measurement.
o
The specified number of stimulation cycles will be presented.
»
Audio feedback to indicate stimulation is being presented can be enabled/disabled in
the settings. Visual indicator is a vertical bar on the graph.
o
User will have an opportunity to click "Response" or "No Response" to indicate what was
observed during stimulation. However, it is not required that the user click either of these
two buttons.
o
When threshold is being estimated by going high to low, stimulation will be stopped
when the first "No Response" is recorded.
o
When threshold is being estimated by going low to high, stimulation will be stopped
when the first "Response" is recorded.
•
Description of Manual measurements:
o
With "Manual" enabled, clicking "Start" will begin the measurement.
o
The specified number of stimulation cycles will be presented.
»
Audio feedback to indicate stimulation is being presented can be enabled/disabled in
the settings. Visual indicator is a vertical bar on the graph.
o
User may indicate of a response or no response by clicking on the corresponding but-
tons, or click "Start" again to present stimulation at the same level an additional time.
o
User may change stimulation parameters, e.g., increase or decrease pulse amplitude,
and click "Start" to present stimulation.
•
Navigating through the Electrode Groupings:
o
User may switch between Electrode Groupings at any time that stimulation is not being
presented, e.g., moving from 16 to 4.
o
When switching Electrode Groupings Response/No Response symbols for the previous
group will be simplified, retaining only the lowest Response and highest No Response.
