Typical charging time for the system is 2.5 hours.

When using the AIM System on battery power it is recommended to monitor the battery
power. Typical battery life exceeds 2.5 hours but is influenced by the settings.
Connecting Implant hardware:
•
Connect the AIM Programming Cable to the AIM System by plugging in the Micro HDMI
Connector.
•
Connect the Naída CI to the AIM Programming Cable by sliding the sound processor onto
the sound processor connector.
•
Connect the Headpiece cable to the Naída CI Q90.
•
Connect the Headpiece cable to the headpiece.
•
Place the Headpiece, Headpiece Cable, and Naída CI Q90 in a suitable sheath, e.g., ultra-
sound or endoscopy sheath, to maintain the sterile field.
•
When operating, position the headpiece over the implant antenna coil to establish lock
between the sound processor and the implant. Ensure that the distance between these two
components does not exceed 7 mm.
•
If measurements are started in a session with a first implant and the user then attempts to
make measurements with a second implant the software will disable measurements with
the second implant and display the message "Implant changed, return to original implant
or restart the application"
Connecting the Insert Earphone:
•
Connect the Earphone to the Earphone cable.
•
Connect the Earphone to the AIM System by plugging in the 0.25" audio jack.
•
Connect the tube of the AIM Sterile Inserts or AIM Sound Tubes to the metal tube on the
Insert Earphone.
NOTE: After measurements are made be sure to remove and discard the AIM Sterile
Insert or Power Dome.
Shutdown and Storage:
•
Close the application and turn off the AIM System.
•
Disassemble the system if desired.
•
Carrying case provided for convenience to store and transport the disassembled system.
•
AIM System should be charged at least once every three months.
