Cause
The brushcutter is too
hot.

The trigger is pressed

The battery is too
warm or too cold.
Cause
No electrical contact
between charger and
battery.
Remedy
► Remove the battery.
► Allow the brushcutter to cool down.
► Remove the battery and reinsert it.
► Switch on the brushcutter.
► If 4 LEDs continue to flash red: Do not
use the battery and contact a STIHL
authorized dealer for assistance.
► Remove the battery.
► Clean the electrical contacts in the bat‐
tery compartment.
► Insert the battery.
► Allow the brushcutter or battery to dry,

► Remove the battery.
► Allow the brushcutter to cool down.
► Remove the battery and reinsert it.
► Switch on the brushcutter.
► Fully charge the battery.
► Replace the battery.
► Select the power level as described in
this User Manual.
► Press the release button.
► Attach the mowing head.
► Clean the mowing head, shaft and fanw‐
heel.
► Clean the mowing head, shaft and fanw‐
heel.
► If the release button remains pushed in:
Contact a STIHL authorized dealer.
► Pull off the mowing head from the shaft.
► Clean the mowing head, shaft and fanw‐
heel.
► Leave the battery inserted in charger.
The charging starts automatically as
soon as the permitted temperature range
is reached.
Remedy
► Remove the battery.
► Clean contacts on charger.
► Insert battery.
