CREATE natural cooking stones darken unevenly as they are used. It is a natural and benefi-
cial process, both for the stone and for the food we cook on it, thus achieving non-stickness
and avoiding the mixing of flavors.
• The natural curing or patina of the stone should never be forced.
• Avoid extreme temperature changes in the stone.
• Do not place frozen foods on the hot stone.
• The stone is fragile and may break if hit or dropped, please be careful when handling it.
• The stone is very hot during use and remains hot for a long time after use. Never touch it
without protective gloves.
• Do not cool the stone when it is hot.
• After cleaning the stone with a damp cloth, dry it before using it.
C L EANI N G TIP S
To remove food debris and blur large stains, follow the following cleaning tips:
1. Make sure the stone cools completely before cleaning. Otherwise, burns may occur.
2. If you must handle it while it is still hot, use heat-resistant gloves to avoid burns. Also,
make sure the surface you place it on is heat resistant.
3. Using a dull tool, scrape or brush off any stuck-on food. You can use a wooden or plastic
spatula to remove any stuck-on food.
4. Dampen a cloth with warm, non-dripping water and remove any loose food with the spat-
ula. Do not wet the cloth excessively.
5. Let it dry completely and ensure that there are no traces of water, then place it in the Pizza
Maker and heat it at maximum temperature for at least 1 hour.
6. You will be able to observe that as the temperature increases, the heat will disintegrate
the remains that are most difficult to remove.
7. Let the stone cool completely before you can move on to the next step.
8. When the stone has cooled, remove any remains that have been charred by the tempera-
ture with a dry cloth.
9. Once all the steps are done, you can enjoy your pizza maker again.
WA R NIN GS
1. Never use soap to clean the pizza stone, doing so could damage the stone as the surface is
porous and can absorb moisture and affect the quality of cooking. Additionally, soap can
leave an unwanted taste on subsequent meals.
2. If you have wet the stone too much, let it dry completely for about a week. Even if it looks
dry, it could contain water inside.
3. Avoid using oils of any kind on the stone. Olive oil or any other type of fat can create smoke
when baking food as the pores of the stone could absorb oil inside. Fats from foods cooked
on the stone will filter out naturally without damaging it. However, it is best that you do not
try to cure the stone with oil.
Perform regular maintenance cleanings:
Although the stone does not require thorough cleaning after each use, it is advisable to do
periodic maintenance cleanings. You can repeat the above steps as necessary, making sure
not to leave any residue or stain build-up.
