3.5. Replacement of lamp

Remove instrument head from battery handle.
The lamp is in the bottom section of the instrument head.
Remove lamp, by using your thumb and forefinger or a suitable
tool, from instrument head. Firmly insert new lamp.

Screw off the metal fitting. Release lamp by turning in
counter-clockwise direction.
Insert new lamp by screwing in in clockwise direction
and screw on the metal fitting again.

3.7. Care
The otoscope may be cleaned externally with a moist cloth.
Cleaning and/or disinfection
In addition, the following disinfectants may be used for disinfec-
tion:
Aldehyde (formaldehyde, glutaraldeyhde, aldehyde derivatives),
or surfactants.
In addition, all instrument components, with the exception of the
magnifying glass, may be disinfected with alcohol.
When using these substances, the manufacturer's instructions
must be strictly complied with.
Means for cleaning or disinfection may be a soft, possibly lint-
free cloth or Q-tips.
Never immerse the otoscope in fluid.
Warning
Ensure that no fluid penetrates into the interior of the enclosure.
Sterilisation
