Cleaning and/or disinfection
In addition, the following disinfectants may be used for disinfec-
tion:
Aldehyde (formaldehyde, glutaraldeyhde, aldehyde derivatives),
surfactants or alcohols.
When using these substances, the manufacturer's instructions
must be strictly complied with.
Means for cleaning or disinfection may be a soft, possibly lint-
free cloth or Q-tips.
Never immerse handles in fluid.

Ensure that no fluid penetrates into the interior of the enclosu-

According to the ruling teaching (Tübingen Medical Products

Centre), sterilisation is only specified for surgery.
The battery handle is not used in surgery. Therefore, cleaning
or dis-infecting will be fully adequate.
Classification
The clip on the handle is equipped with an
On/Off slide. When pushing the slide up, the
unit is switched on, when pushing it down,
the unit is off.
