WARNING!
Remove the safety button before working on the cutting blade to prevent accidental
motor starting. Protect hands by using heavy gloves or a rag to grasp the cutting
blades.

CAUTION!
Periodically inspect the blade adapter (if equipped) for cracks, especially if you strike
a foreign object. Replace when necessary and check the machine overall.

1. For best results your blade should be sharp.
2. Tip your lawn mower.
3. Use sturdy gloves and hold the blade firmly.
C Be careful to prevent entrapment of the fingers between moving blades and fixed
parts of the mower.
4. Undo the fastening bolt. Use the spanner supplied to loosen and remove the blade bolt. Bolt
has a typical right-hand thread.
5. Remove the blade.
6. The blade may be resharpened by removing it and either grinding or filing the cutting edge
keeping as close to the original bevel as possible. It is extremely important that each cutting
edge receives an equal amount of grinding to prevent an unbalanced blade. Improper blade
balance will result in excessive vibration causing eventual damage to the motor. The blade
can be tested for balance for example by balancing it on a round shaft screwdriver. Remove
metal from the heavy side by grinding until it balances evenly.
7. Place the blade with the part number facing away from the adapter. Align the washer over
the blade and insert the hex bolt. Tighten the hex bolt to the torque listed in the Specifications.
C When you change the blade, must use the original blade (for order the blade, please
contact your local dealer or call our company).
• To insure safe operation of your unit. ALL nuts and bolts must be checked periodically for
correct tightness.
Lubricate the ball bearings (if equipped) in each wheel at least once
a season with a light oil.
