THE EPSILON 3 : UNLIMITED PLEASURE !
Because it is easy to use and safe, the EPSILON 3 is a glider for beginners and occasional
pilots. It will help the pilot to develop his feeling and to optimize his flying skills.
The pilots can buy it after school. Because of its high level of precision and performance, the
EPSILON 3 is also a intermediate glider for advanced pilots. It is possible to learn to fly in
competitions with it.
THE TE C H N I Q U E
The profile of the EPSILON 3 is enterily new ; it has a good stability in pitch, while retaining the
necessary energy to make a clean e n t rance into strong thermals, with no hesitation even for a
b e g i n n e r. Each cell receives a line to maintain a exact profile. Their width decreases, from the
center to the wing tip.
The last 3 cells are closed. The suspension lines have been studied at length to reduce the air
resistance (drag), without sacrificing security. Checking the lines before take off is easy.
The 4 risers give the best efficiency when using the speed system. The A risers receive a
shrewd system to make big ears, by pulling the outside line with the help of a small handle.
A major point in the design of the EPSILON 3 is the addition of a compression strap between
each profile/line attachment point, on the D lines (except the last 2 cells). Then the space
between each attachmemt point remains the same, whether the brakes are in action or not.
There are also some compression straps between some A, B and C lines, but only between the
profiles receiving lines that are not connected with the same main line.
This gives the EPSILON 3 a much better coherence and balance, especially in the turn.
As usual with AD VANCE, gliders, the smallest details were important for us :
• all of the sewing and stitching are internal.
• the leading and trailing edges are reinforced with a Mylar border to increase rigidity and
then to make them less sensitive to the high tension they are subjected to.
• the winglets on the wing tips, aerodynamic elements but ADVANCE signature too, diminish
the wing tip turbulence (vortex effect) and give much more precision in the turns.
• the lines remain in correct position in the small quick links thanks to a well

designed plastic clip.
• the breaking is optimized thanks to a system with rings that acts on the wing tip first.
• the brake handles receive a reinforcement that makes them easy to take and comfortable.
