Hush mode

Only hush the device if the
cause of the alarm has been determined with absolute
certainty and no further hazard exists.
If the alarm sounds, first try to locate the potential
cause for the alarm. If necessary, press the Test button
to hush the smoke detector. When hushed, the red

LED on the smoke detector will flash every ten sec-

onds. Eliminate the source of smoke. After nine min-
utes the smoke detector will automatically return to
standard mode. If the cause for the alarm still exists,
the alarm will sound again. The alarm of the smoke
detector will also sound if the smoke that triggered the
alarm increases whilst hushed.
Note: The device cannot be hushed if the smoke is
thick.
