Use a dry, clean cloth or brush to clean the device.
Do not use any scouring agents or solvents. Avoid
getting any electrical parts damp.
Never clean the inside of the smoke detector. If you
do so, you will lose your warranty claims and the
function of the alarm could be impaired.
Test the device after cleaning it to check that it
functions correctly by pressing the test button .

Troubleshooting

Potential causes for false alarms: Welding
and cutting work, soldering or work processes that
generate high heat, sawing and grinding work,
dust formation from construction or cleaning work,
steam, steam from cooking, extreme electromag-
netic interference, condensation due to strong tem-
perature fluctuations.
