Recommendation

Do not use a smoke detector that is over 10 years old.
Smoke detectors are not a replacement for insurance.
Install smoke detectors so that they can alert you of fire
smoke at an early stage. Smoke detectors only sound
their alarm if smoke or burning particles are detected.
They do not detect heat, open flames or gas. Smoke
detectors neither prevent fires from starting, nor do they
combat them automatically. Please keep these instruc-
tions for use and installation for your smoke detector in
a safe place.

Activating the device

Before installing this smoke detector it must be acti-
vated and tested.
To activate the smoke detector, remove the red
activation pin (see Figure B).
