2. ExPLaNaTIoN of SyMBoLS, LaBELS

An exclamation mark in a triangle shows important notes in these operating instructions that must be
strictly observed.
The "arrow" symbol indicates that special advice and notes on operation are provided.
This device is CE-compliant and meets the applicable European directives

3. INTENDED uSE

• Measuring and displaying the electrical values of coils (L), capacitors (C) and resistors (R) and their combinations
(parallel/serial)
• Measuring inductivities of up to 20 mH
• Capacity measurement up to 20 mF
• Measuring resistors (AC-R/DC-R) of up to 200 MOhm
• Displaying the quality factor "Q"
• Displaying the electrical loss factor "D"
• Displaying the phase angle "θ" (0.00° to ±90.0°)
The measurement functions and measuring ranges are selected using the pushbuttons. Automatic measuring range
selection is active in all measuring areas.
Components must only be connected to the measuring device when powered down and discharged. No voltages
must be applied to the measuring device.
The measuring device must not be operated when it is open, i.e. with an open battery compartment or when the
battery compartment cover is missing. Measurement under unfavourable ambient conditions is not permitted.
Only the mains adaptor included in the delivery can be used for current supply. The adaptor is only to be connected
to 100 - 240 v/47 - 63 Hz alternating current.
Unfavourable ambient conditions are:
• Dust and flammable gases, vapours or solvents,
• Thunderstorms or similar conditions such as strong electrostatic fields, etc.
Use for measurements only the measuring lines or measuring accessories indicated in the specifications of the
measuring device.
Any use other than that described above will lead to damage to the product and involves additional risks such as, for
example, short circuit, fire, electric shock, etc. No part of this product must be modified or converted!
Read the operating instructions carefully and keep them for later reference.
