Operation

Removing/inserting the
battery
The­device­may­only­be­used­with­
two­batteries­of­the­X­20­V­Team­se-
ries from Parkside.
1.­ To­remove­the­battery­(33)­from­the­de-
vice,­press­the­release­button­(32)­on­the­
battery­(33)­and­pull­the­battery­(33)­out.
2.­To­insert­the­battery­(33),­push­the­bat-
tery­(33)­into­the­battery­holder­(24)­on­
the­device.­
you­will­hear­it­click­into­place.
Checking the charge
status of the battery
red-amber-green => battery fully charged
red-amber­=>­battery­approx.­half­charged
red => battery needs to be charged
Checking the charge level on the
battery
The­battery­charge­status­indicator­(35)­on­
the­battery­(33)­shows­the­charge­level.
Press­the­button­(34)­on­the­battery­(33).­
The­charge­level­is­indicated­by­illumina-
tion­of­the­corresponding­LED­lights.
Checking the charge level during
operation
The­charge­level­indicator­(27)­on­the­con-
trol­panel­of­the­device­shows­the­charge­
level­of­the­two­batteries­(33)­when­the­
control­panel­is­activated.
During­operation,­the­charge­level­
indicator­(27)­shows­the­load­on­
the­device,­see­chapter­"Load­indicator".

Charging the battery

If warm, allow the battery to cool
before charging.
­ Charge­the­battery­(33)­when­only­
the­red­LED­on­the­level­indicator­is­
illuminated.
1.­ Remove­the­battery­(33)­from­the­de-
vice.
2.­ Slide­the­battery­(33)­into­the­charging­
slot­of­the­charger­(31).­
3. Plug the charger (31) into an outlet.
4. After charging is complete, a green
light will be illuminated permanently.
you­can­now­disconnect­the­charger­
(31)­from­the­mains­supply.
5.­ Remove­the­battery­(33)­from­the­
charger­(31).
Checking the function of
the protective hood
•­ Pull­the­pull­lever­(23)­of­the­protective­
bonnet­(19)­as­far­as­it­will­go.
The­guard­cover­(19)­must­not­
jam and must automatically
spring back to its original position
when­the­pull­lever­(23)­is­released.
­ If­the­function­of­the­protective­hood­
is­faulty,­do­not­put­the­device­into­
operation­and­contact­our­Service­
Centre.
Installing/changing the
saw blade
­ Switch­off­the­device­and­remove­
the battery before carrying out any
work.
