Disinfection

WARNING
Electric shock as a result of penetration of liquid.
› Switch off the Vortex Mixer and disconnect it from the power supply before disinfection.
› Do not allow any liquids to enter the inside of the housing.
› Do not use disinfectant spray.
› Only reconnect the Vortex Mixer to the power supply once it is completely dry.
Auxiliary aids
› Lint-free cloth.
› Disinfectant.
Disinfecting the Vortex Mixer
› Switch off the Vortex Mixer and disconnect it from the power supply.
› Disinfect the Vortex Mixer.
› Select a disinfection method which complies with the legal requirements and
regulations applicable to your range of application.
› Wipe the surfaces with the lint-free cloth and disinfectant.
5.3

Decontamination before shipment

If you are shipping the Vortex Mixer to the authorized Technical Service for repairs or to your local
distributor for disposal, please note the following:
WARNING
Risk to health from contaminated Vortex Mixer.
› Follow the instructions for the decontamination supplied by your local distributor.
› Decontaminate all the parts you wish to dispatch.
› Enclose the fully-completed decontamination declaration for returned goods (including
the serial number of the Vortex Mixer) with the dispatch.
5.4

Software update

› Check the current software version in the settings of the Vortex Mixer.
› A new software update can be installed on the Vortex Mixer with an USB stick using the
installation file provided by the manufacturer.
› Do not turn off or operate the Vortex Mixer while installing the software update.
› When the software update has been successfully installed, the Vortex Mixer has to be
turned off and the USB stick has to be removed.
