3.1
General

Note
The positioner will be equipped at the factory with the required option modules in accordance with
the customer's order, and delivered complete. Retrofitting an option module should only be carried
out by Customer Services.
The positioner must – particularly in damp environments – be installed in such a way that the posi-
tioner shaft cannot freeze in low ambient temperatures.

In zones with potentially explosive atmospheres, the positioner may only be supplied with electrical
energy when the housing is closed.

It is essential that the following sequence is observed during assembly to avoid injuries or mechani-
cal damage to the positioner/extension kit:

Mechanical fitting of positioner

Connection of electric power supply
3.
Connection of pneumatic supply
4.
Putting into operation
