Remove cover of the power generator
Open the plug screw to the oil filler opening
Top up oil using a filling aid
Check the oil level
Replace the plug screw
Changing the engine oil
Caution! The oil will immediately start to flow from the drain opening once the oil
drain tap is opened!
The oil drain tap is located at the front of the unit
Procedure:
∙ Ideally the engine should be slightly warm
∙ Run the cold engine for a short while and then let it cool off.
∙ RS 14 SUPER SILENT: Remove parts of the carrying tray
∙ Organize an oil pan
∙ Unscrew oil drain tap
∙ Let the oil drain completely
∙ Change the oil filter
∙ Screw the oil drain tap back on
∙ Fill oil
∙ Check oil level

Daily, or before starting the engine:

To avoid malfunctions and accidents, it is vital to keep the engine in perfect working
order. Before use, always check the following points:
Walk round the machine (visual inspection):
∙ Oil or fuel flammable points
∙ Damaged or loose parts
∙ Tank fill level
∙ Air intake and cooling area
∙ Soiled, loose or damaged parts
Engine run-in phase after approximately 5 h
∙ First oil change
∙ If the machine is n ot used regularly once a year
Every 8 hours or daily
∙ Check oil level
Every 25 hours
∙ Clean the foam pre-filter
Every 100 hours or annually
∙ Clean the complete air filter cartridge
∙ Change oil
∙ Change oil filter
∙ Check spark plug condition and electrode gap and change if necessary
