Installation
Installation of radial piston pumps has to be done by qualified staff.
CAUTION
Danger of personal injury and damage to property!
Working with and on the radial piston pumps without the required basic mechanical, and
hydraulic knowledge may cause injuries or parts may be damaged.
Only properly qualified and authorized users may work with and on the radial
piston pumps.
17.1.
Installation Instructions
The radial piston pump can be installed in any position.
The specified rotating direction for operation has to be ensured.
No radial and axial forces may have an impact on the drive shaft. Therefore a coupling with elastic
spider is recommended.
Remove all plugs from the hydraulic ports directly before connecting the lines or hoses.
Pay attention to cleanliness during the installation.
The use of seamless precision tube according to EN 10305-1 is recommended.
17.2.
Suction Line (A)
A short suction line with large diameter is necessary to ensure a short response time of the pump and low
noise. Avoid sharp angles and tube fittings (danger of air intake, air separation and higher flow resistance).
Instead of sharp angles and tube fittings use curved tubes or hoses. Reduction of the suction line must be
close to pump inlet. The minimum allowed inlet pressure of 0,8 bar absolute has to be ensured. If a suction
filter (minimum 150 mm mesh size) or a ball valve is applied, the installation has to be underneath the fluid
level.
For more information see:
17.3.
Pressure Line (B)
The permissible pressure resistance of the pressure line must not be exceeded.
Observe the correct strength class and the correct tightening torque of the mounting screws.
