Maintenance of filter:
1. Check the fuel filter for impurities in the filter housing.
2. Block the fuel line before replacing the filter.
3. After that you can remove the hoses to the right and left of the filter.
4. Dispose of the fuel in the filter in an environmentally responsible way. After the filter is emptied, you can
properly dispose of the filter cartridge.
5. Use only the recommended fuel filter from our spare parts shop.
6. Once you have assembled the new filter in the reverse order (pay attention to the flow direction stated on the
filter), solve the blocking of the fuel hose and make sure that the filter is reassembled firmly and leak-proof.
Caution:The fuel filter must fit securely and be leak-proof.If a filter is not fit securely, it can re-
sult in environmental pollution and the generator can get damaged
Use only the recommended fuel filter from our spare parts shop.
6.5.
Maintenance of battery
Charge and check the battery when removed. Remove the connection cables and insulate the contacts carefully
to avoid a short-circuit.
If you do not want to operate the generator for a long time, remove the battery and keep it in a safe and dry place.
Charge the battery at certain time intervals to maintain its functionality.
7. Transport and storage
Warning! Remove the ignition key before transporting the generator.Always keep the genera-
tor horizontal to avoid fuel leakage.Fuel vapours or spilled fuel can catch fire.
The tilting angle of the device should never be more than 15°!
Preparation for long-term decommissioning / storage of device:
1.
Make sure that the storage area is free from excess humidity and dust.
2.
Drain the fuel:
Remove the fuel hose from the fuel tank, and fill the fuel in a suitable container using a funnel. After the fuel
tank has been completely emptied, shift the fuel hose back to the outlet of the fuel tank.
3.
Loosen the filter glass of the fuel filter and empty the residual fuel from the filter into a suitable container.
If the fuel can no longer be used due to impurities, dispose of it in an environmentally respon-
sible way.
Note:
During storage, the start battery should be disconnected and charged at regular intervals.
8. Winter operation
As the generator is powered by a diesel engine, special precautions must be taken for winter operation.
Use of winter diesel is necessary for operating the diesel generator at outdoor temperatures of 0° to -10° C. The
changeover from diesel to "winter diesel" takes place mostly by the end of October although it differs from country
to country. You can ask your petrol station for the exact time to changeover to "winter diesel".
1. If the generator is not used for a long time in the fall but you want to use it in the winter, it is recommended to
keep the tank almost empty or empty it as described under point 7.2.
2. Fill the tank with "winter diesel" before using the generator at outdoor temperatures of 0° to -10° C. If the die-
sel clogs nevertheless, the generator must be kept in a heated room for approx. 12 hours.
3. If the tank is full to half full of normal diesel, the diesel must be emptied as described under point 7.2 and the
filter must be replaced. The tank must then be filled with "winter diesel". If the tank is half full to empty, filling it
with "winter diesel" suffices.
