Inserting the batteries in the remote control

Insert two batteries (1.5V Micro (AAA/
LR03) into the battery compartment.

Switching on

As with almost all modern appliances, this appliance has no mains switch.
Power is supplied whenever it is connected to a mains socket. This creates
continuous heat in the appliance, which is completely normal and is not
dangerous when there is proper ventilation.
DANGER!
Never cover the ventilation openings on the base and upper side of the
appliance. The appliance produces heat even when in standby mode.
Covered ventilation openings may cause fires.
Do not leave electrical appliances that are switched on without
supervision. If you intend to leave the appliance without supervision for a
longer period of time (e.g. holiday) pull the plug from the socket.
Pull the plug from the socket and remove the aerial cable if a
thunderstorm is expected. This prevents a lightening strike from
damaging your appliances.
When you switch the appliance on for the first time the following settings are
queried:
operating language (German, English, Spanish, Turkish, Portuguese,
Polish),
location: continent,
location: country in the selected continent.
The appliance uses these settings to produce a channel list that was selected at
the factory. For reception in Germany all the necessary settings have already
been made by the factory.
