3. Close the cover and lock the lever.

NOTE: If you want to tear off a printout, pull the paper along the plastic
tear-off edge. Do not pull the paper straight out of the printer.
Troubleshooting Printer problems
If the tester is not connected to a 12 volt battery with at least 9 volts
remaining during printing, or if the paper sensor does not detect paper in
the tray, the tester will display one of the following messages:
Error message
INSERT
PAPER
THEN ⮠
PRESS
VOLTAGE
TOO LOW

Make sure that the paper is loaded correctly.
√
Insert a new paper roll.
√
Make sure that the paper sensor is clean and
undamaged.
The printer will only work if the test unit is
connected to a vehicle battery with at least 9
volts.
√ Connect a vehicle battery with sufficient
voltage.
√ Check that the clamps are connected correctly:
red clamp to the positive pole (+), black clamp
to the negative pole (-).
√ The terminals must be in contact with the
connections on both sides.
