The options menu
If you press and hold the MENU button, the following options are
available. Use the UP and DOWN arrow keys to scroll through the
options. Press the ENTER button to select an option.
Test print
Select this option to print the results of the last test of a battery, starter
system or charging system. For power supply, connect the tester to a 12 V
battery that still supplies at least 9 V voltage.
IMPORTANT: Do not forget to print out the test results before the next
test. The last test results will be overwritten when a new test is taken.
On the next page is an example of a printed test result.
√ If the source of the interference cannot be found,
fully charge the battery and repeat the test. If the
message appears after charging, test the battery
outside the vehicle.
√ A weak or just-charged battery can develop so
much electrical activity that test results can be
falsified if the tester detects it. A fully charged
battery will normally stabilise quickly, after which
the tester will repeat the test auto- matically.
Weak batteries should be charged and tested
again. When the battery is fully charged, check
the terminal connections.
The terminals do not have sufficient contact with the
battery terminals.
√ Move the clamps forward and backward. If the
message appears again, clean the battery
terminals and reconnect the clamps.
