When this unit is used in combination with following
Pioneer components, you can enjoy "One-touch auto
play" which helps in reducing mistakes and the com-
plexity
of
operations,
and
"Remote
Control
Operation," allowing you to operate the unit from a
distance.

AUTO PLAY FUNCTIONS
Auto Function Selection
This function
means
that manually
setting
of the
amplifier's function switches is not necessary. Merely
by performing one of the following actions, the func-
tion switch
position is changed
automatically,
and
other components are stopped:

Press the tuner's [STATION CALL]
switches to listen to FM/AM broad-

Press the cassette deck's [PLAY < ]

Synchronized Recording
By setting the cassette deck's [REC] and [PAUSE]
switches
to the
ON
position
(recording
standby
mode), recording operations (recording start and stop)
are linked automatically to the operation of the turn-
table and CD player.

NOTE:
During recording pause, a non-recorded interval of about 4
seconds duration is automatically created.
REMOTE CONTROL OPERATIONS
Power ON/OFF
(POWER
STAND-BY/ON)
Linked to the tuner's power switch ON/OFF opera-
tions, other components are also turned ON/OFF.
Volume Control (VOLUME)
This
allows
you
to control
the
amplfier's
sound
volume.
Tuner Functions (TUNER)
Allows you to switch between radio broadcasting sta-
tions (a total of 12 AM/FM stations can be selected).
CD Player Functions (COMPACT DISC)
Performs playback, stop, pause, track search (lets you
look for selected programs).
Cassette Deck Functions
(CASSETTE TAPE
DECK)
If the
remote
control
is operated
when
the
mechanism operation is changing, the remote con-
trol commands may not be received.

Performs playback, reverse playback, rewind, fast
forward,
stop,
pause,
recording,
and
recording
muting (for making non-recorded
intervals) func-
tions. If the remote control is operated at the same
time
that
the
tape
deck's
main
controls
are
operated, the commands given to the deck's main
controls will be given precedence.
e
Keys cannot be pressed simultaneously in order to
place
the
unit
immediately
into the
playback-
standby,
recording-standby,
or reverse recording
modes.
