Teach-in mode remains activated for 60 seconds. An information box shows how
much teach-in time remains.
•
Meanwhile, activate the teach-in mode of the door lock drive to teach-in as well.
Press the top button "Unlock" (D) for approx. 2 seconds, to activate teach-in mode.
After a short time, the newly taught-in device will appear in the inbox of your software
interface. The button „Inbox (x new devices)" indicates how many new devices have
been taught-in successfully.
•
If required, you can teach-in additional devices by repeating the steps described
above for each device.
•
Now configure the newly taught-in devices in the inbox as described in section „Con-
figuring newly taught-in devices".
6.3.4
Configuring newly taught-in devices
Once you have taught-in your door lock drive to the HomeMatic Central Control Unit,
it will be moved to the inbox. Here, you must configure the device and its associated
channels in order to make them available for operating and configuration tasks. Give
the device a name and assign it to a room. You can also make individual parameter set-
tings.
Now you can use the „WebUI" user interface to control your device, configure it, connect
it directly to other devices, or use it in central control unit programs. Please refer to the
HomeMatic WebUI Manual for more details (you can find this in the „Downloads" area of
the website www.homematic.com).

6.4
Additional settings
6.4.1
Setting acknowledgement tones
The acknowledgement tone for the door lock drive can be set to any of several vari-
ations. 4 different tone pitches and the "Sound off" option are available. Proceed as
follows to set the acknowledgement tone:
•
Press the button "Setup" (C).
•
If the "X" is shown on the display, press a button on the Master remote control (but-
ton must be already assigned to the KeyMatic), which selects the next acknowledge-
ment tone and outputs it for your approval. With the "Sound off" option, the setting is
acknowledged with a very short tone signal.
•
Going through the procedure again selects the next acknowledgement tone.
6.4.2
Replacing the master remote control
If the "Master" remote control is lost or is defective, another remote control can be
taught-in as the "Master remote control. To do this, proceed as follows:
•
Remove the door lock drive from the door by unscrewing the fastening screws to
disconnect it from the base fastener.
•
Press the button "Unlock" for approx. 2 seconds. The LC display shows "X", the
symbols for radio reception and "Unlock" flash.
•
Turn the handwheel 10 turns in direction "Lock".
•
The display shows memory location "1" (selecting another memory location is not
possible!).
•
Set the remote control to configuration mode and briefly press one of the buttons of
the button pair to be taught-in.
If the new "Master" remote control was already taught-in to another memory
location, this is automatically cleared/deleted.
After installing the drive again, run a complete door lock drive setup for the
used lock.
6.4.3
Restore factory settings of the device
The factory settings of the door lock drive can be restored manually. If you do
this, you will lose all your settings.
To restore the factory settings of the door lock drive, please proceed as follows:
•
Remove the door lock drive from the door by unscrewing the fastening screws to
disconnect it from the base fastener.
Press the button "Setup" (C) for approx. 2 seconds. The display shows "X".
•
•
If you have access to the Master remote control, press any button, that is assigned
to the KeyMatic, and the "X" disappears.
•
If you do not have access to the Master remote control, turn the handwheel (B) 10
turns in direction "Lock". The "X" disappears from the display.
•
Turn the handwheel 10 turns in direction "Lock".
