These two screws will damage the door leaf or the door fittings however. For

those living in rented accommodation, this could lead to a landlord making
claim for compensation or holding back a tenant's deposit.
•
Insert the key into the lock cylinder, unlock the lock and turn the key to neutral posi-

tion (where it can be pulled out).
•
Guide the door lock drive over the key; push it completely onto the base fastener.
Fasten the door lock drive with the two Allen screws (M3 x 14 mm) that were
screwed out in the beginning of the procedure. Screw the Allen screws in completely

using the supplied Allen key; careful not to turn too tight.

Tighten the screws "hand-tight" only, since otherwise the drive can be tilted,
which could cause faulty functionality (such as opening the door from the
outside with the key becomes difficult).
•
Open the door. This is required so that the door lock drive can detect the end stop of
the lock without any hindrance during the following initialisation action.

5.4
Inserting/replacing batteries
To insert or replace batteries, please proceed as follows:
•
Unlatch the battery compartment cover (G) on the right-hand side of the lock drive
by pressing with the finger on the notch and remove it. Take the used batteries/re-
chargeable batteries out if necessary.

Insert three (new) LR6/Mignon/AA batteries in the battery compartment (making
sure that you insert them the right way round) and reattach the battery compartment
cover.
