Working with the device
The device is to be used like a convention-
al pair of secateurs. Hold the device with
one hand by the handle (7).
Make sure that your free
hand is at a suffi cient dis-
tance from the cutting area – dan-
ger of cut injuries!
• Observe the maximum cutting perfor-
mance of softwood and hardwood
given in the chapter "Technical data".
• If the material to be cut is too thick or
too hard, the green LED (9) fl ashes
once and the cutting blade stops.
Maintenance
Changing the cutting
blade
1. Loosen the screw (5) using the hex key
(11) and remove it from the device to-
gether with the gear (4).
2. Loosen the gear nut (3) using the open-
end spanner (12).
3. Turn the device over and loosen the
two small screws (20) on the device
casing using the Phillips screwdriver

4. Remove the cover (21) from the device
casing.
5. Remove the screw bolt (22) and blade
insert (23).
6. Replace the cutting blade (2).
7. Put the screw bolt (22), the blade insert
(23) and the new cutting blade (2)
back into the device.
30
Make sure that the
blade insert (23) is
again exactly in this
position on the gear-
wheel, otherwise the
blade will not close correctly when
used.
8. Fasten the gear nut (3). Fasten the gear
(4) with the screw (5).
Hand-tighten the gear nut (3) and
screw (5).
Place the cover (21) on the device
casing and secure it with the two small
screws.
9. Perform a trial run.
If the green LED (9) fl ashes, the
gear nut (3) and screw (5) may
be too tight. Slightly loosen gear nut (3)
and screw (5) then try again.
Adjusting the blade
1. Loosen the screw (5).
2. Tighten the gear nut (3) with the
open-ended spanner (12) until the
blade no longer moves sideways.
3. Tighten the screw (5) again.
