8. Trouble shooting
fault
Overflow acoustic and
visual signal.
Acoustic and visual
indication that three-way
valve is blocked (only for
systems with three-way
valve function control).
Pump alarm led.
General pump information
In order for the pump to operate correctly perform the following operations:
a) The suction and delivery pipes must not be smaller than the diameter of their related inlets and outlets (25 mm).
A pipe with a larger diameter should ideally be connected to the suction inlet when the suction height is greater
than 4 meters.
fault
The pump does not
turn.
The pump turns but
does not deliver
water.
The pump stops due
to overheating caused
by the opening of the
overheating thermal
protection.
Maintenance
When there is a danger of freezing the pump must be completely emptied.
The pump should ideally be emptied if not in use for long periods.
Make sure that it turns freely before using it again.
cause
 Float valve blocked with
limescale.
 The float of the float valve
touches the side of the
tank.
 Mains pressure too high.
 Impurities in the valve.
 Lack of water.
 Motor or impeller blocked.
 Motor overheating.
cause
1)
No power.
2)
Shaft blocked.
1) The air inside the pump has not
been completely bled.
2)
Entry of air from the suction pipe.
3)
The suction valve is not submerged
in water:
- suction valve blocked,
- the maximum suction depth has
been exceeded.
4) The self-priming valve is blocked.
1) The power supply does not conform
to that on the rating plate of the
motor (voltage too high or too low).
2) A solid object has blocked the
impeller.
3) The pump has been operating with
water that is too hot.
ENGLISH
Install a filter against limescale.
Slacken the hydraulic regulator locking ring, and move
the float so that it no longer touches the side of the
tank, then tighten the locking ring again (see drawing 6
in the attachment).
Install a pressure regulator on the inlet to the mains
tank. Check the position of the float switch in the rain
water tank. See figure 4, page 46.
Install a filter on the suction pipe.
Clean the collection tank.
Damaged valve.
Push the reset button when the water returns, the reset
also occurs automatically at preset time intervals.
Make sure the mains flow rate is over 10 l/min.
Make sure that the impeller is free from dirt.
Make sure that there are no obstacles blocking the air
intake and outlet.
1)
Check if power is supplied to the socket and
that the plug is correctly inserted.
2)
Remove the plug from the power socket and
insert a screwdriver into the notch on the
shaft (from the cooling fan side) and unblock
it by turning the screwdriver.
1)
Stop the pump, unscrew the delivery pipe
and let the air escape, top up with water if
necessary.
2)
Check that the joints of the suction pipe have
been performed correctly. Make sure there
are no counterslopes, traps, goosenecks or
constriction on the suction pipe and that the
foot valve is not blocked.
3)
Place the suction valve in water:
- clean the foot valve.
- clean the suction filter.
- check the suction depth.
4)
Contact an assistance centre.
1)
Remove the plug, remove the cause of the
overheating, wait for the motor to cool and
start it again.
